6/22-23, Enroute MT

I have to admit, I was a little worried about this trip.  Seriously... a 3-year old, a 12-year old, a cat, a rabbit, a trailer, (turning 40 along the way.....) and a seemingly endless road between Denver and Seattle?  Ugh.  Good in theory, but what about follow-through?  Maybe we shouldn't have told everybody we'd go see them this summer.  I'll save you the drama and tell you now:  it was AWESOME!  Let the story unfold, one mile, one stop at a time.......  Oh, and one other tidbit for you:  90% of the pics from our trip were taken with our new phones.  As I told my friend when we finally made it to Seattle---  I won't feel obligated to edit a phone pic (and I haven't Chrystale, I haven't!) !  So, no complaints about the quality of the photos. I, finally, was too busy living it to be held captive behind the camera.  (Yay for me!!)  There was a time and place for everything (ie, using my bigger cameras and lenses), but most of the time we were just too busy having fun!

And the question for which we're searching an answer. Which is "better":
CO, MT, ID or WA?

Leaving the mountains of northern CO behind.....literally, see them in the rear view mirror?!
We finally did something we've always talked about doing:  stopping for the sake of 'that looks neat, we should go see that sometime.'  As we passed the sign for the Montana Grizzly Sanctuary east of Bozeman, we turned around and did just that.  Who doesn't want to spend some time with some 'cuddly, little bears'?!  After all, we're on VACATION!  (insert smile here)

Of course 'bear' got to visit the bears, too. Not sure how Nikolas ended up bear-sitting though!

A contrail in Big Sky Country.

Stay tuned, next stop:  Hamilton.
