Welcome, winter. Welcome, snow. Three days before Christmas and its most definitely going to be a white one! It snowed over 18 hours the last two days with an accumulation at our house of about 12". We enjoyed shoveling (yes, shoveling....I was trying out my new shovel!), snowblowing and sledding today. And while not outside absorbing winter, we were inside baking cookies and pies. It's been a very nice first day of winter!
Enjoying some couch time on a snowy winter's night....even Abby if you can see her! |
This is what we had by morning.....5 more hours of snow to go. |
We had a snowman on the sign even though the real snow wasn't the 'right type' for making the real thing. |
Abby is mesmerized by the falling snow. |
Sven and Nikolas sledding with the help of our neighbor's very excited dog! |
Ready... |
Set... |
Go!!! |
Our very own snow-covered Christmas tree in our backyard. |
"Smile, I want to take your picture!" Umm....Ok....I guess this works, too! |
"I don't WANT to shovel the driveway! I want to build an igloo!" |
Yeah.....I'm not sure I want to shovel the driveway either! |
"Sven! Can you start the snowblower?! We need some help!" |
What a good husband....saves the day with the snowblower AND makes the pumpkin pies for Christmas day! |
HAPPY WINTER, EVERYONE!
