4-18, Baseball Practice

Nikolas is enjoying his first sports team experience. He plays for a local coach pitch team out in town. He practices Tuesday and Thursday nights. Well....they are SUPPOSED to practice that often but the coach has had to cancel several practices already due to rain (April here reminds me of Seattle). Here are a few photos from a make-up practice we had on Saturday. (It was a BEAUTIFUL day!) Nikolas will miss the team's first game this upcoming Saturday since we will be in NY doing the Parkinson's Unity Walk. There'll be more games....but just don't remind him that he's missing this one!!

Don't miss this video.....

4-12, Easter Weekend

I took this photo at our neighborhood Easter egg hunt the week before Easter. Much to our surprise, there was no actual hunting involved! They fenced in an area next to our neighborhood center and the employees spread hundreds of Easter eggs around in it. Then they gave each age group a turn to get as many eggs as they could get their hands on. Yes, it was crazy.

Our Easter wasn't very eventful. It was actually pretty relaxing. Nikolas had spring break Thursday through Monday. Unfortunately, he got sick the very first day of it and didn't start feeling better until the final day off of school! Here is a video of his egg hunt around our house and a few other photos.

The Saturday of Easter weekend, we took a short browse through the base's bimonthly flea market. No treasures to be found except for this 850 piece lego tank that Nikolas found (for $5!!). It took Sven and Nikolas 2 days to put it together. What a job that was!
