9-14, Delisa's visit

We were so happy that Delisa and her little boy, Nathan, came to visit us for a long weekend. Delisa's husband is deployed with the Army. They made the trip from Fayetteville to Fort Meade to pass some time. We couldn't believe that it had almost been a year since they visited us for Thanksgiving. We had the BEST weekend. I was originally going to title this post: "We laughed, we cried....the good, the bad and the ugly." One night before bed, Nikolas made the comment: "All you do is talk, talk, talk" (it's not quite as effective without the rolling of the eyes...). He summed it up very well. Not having many good friends here, it was wonderful being able to share this time with Delisa (whom I've known since our Whidbey Island days). It was such a treat to get to spend time with her little boy, too. It's been a long time since we've had a "baby" in the house and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Nikolas and Nathan adore each other and get along so well. We simply could not have asked for a better few days of bonding and reminiscing.....and shopping...and eating...and laughing...and crying....! Delisa, Chris, Nathan.... we hope this deployment is over before you know it and that soon Chris will be home safe and sound. Thanks for the visit..... the timing couldn't have been any better. Thanks for being such a great friend!!
