A photographer friend lives nearby, but just far enough away that his local known places are different than mine. We were out practicing our outdoor headshots one day when he took a detour to show me a place where the buffalo roam. I was astonished that this herd of buffalo was so close to our home yet I had never known of their existence. It was very cool to see them with the mountains in the background in one direction and the city of Denver in another. These weren't the type of headshots I was going for this day, but it was surely a pleasant surprise!
