We had such a great day yesterday. We had originally scheduled a day for the Sepp family to visit earlier in February...and then the blizzards hit. We had to wait a few weeks for the snow to melt and our schedules to fit to try again. Thankfully, yesterday was the day! They made the trek from Alexandria (VA) to our house to spend an afternoon with us. The last time we saw them was two years ago when we did our month-long condo stay in Pensacola during the move from Washington to Maryland. Now that they have also moved to the DC area we hope we can utilize this time (while we're still here at least) to spend more time together. I'm so happy that after all of this time and all of our (for both families) moves, that we still keep in touch and remain friends. As most of you already know, Arvo has been my good friend since our Academy days. Sven and Arvo were buddies in Pensacola during flight training. And, Arvo was the best man at our wedding (which by the way was when I knew he and Amy would be next down the aisle....even if they didn't know it yet ...hee hee =)....). So, obviously we cherish their friendship over all these years and more to come.
There are a few years between Nikolas and Caden,
but nothing brings boys together like cars...
...and marbles...
for boys of ALL ages! =)
A Wii competition.... sorry, Arvo, Nikolas has my competitive streak....
but I'm not quite sure where he got the silliness!
This is little Eva. Amy was pregnant with her when we said our goodbyes in Pensacola almost 2 years ago. I begged (and pleaded) for Amy to have that baby before we left for MD (but to no avail). Eva waited to make her appearance the following week when we arrived in MD. Oh how I had wanted to see that little baby while she was still a BABY! =) She's the sweetest little thing.
It's so neat to see the 'dad' side of Arvo.
We think Eva has a little thing for Nikolas. =)
We weren't quite sure what she was trying to do here!
What a great family!
