Adjusting. That one word says it all. That is what our life has consisted of over the past few months. Emalie's adjusting to us. We're adjusting to Emalie. Nikolas is adjusting to no longer being an only child. Abby's adjusting to not being the littlest girl in the house anymore. As for me, I'm adjusting to no longer having a clean house, not always having a hot dinner on the table and days filled with diapers (and so much more, of course!). Here's a little glimpse of it all.....
Has anyone ever seen our house like this....and would I have ever admitted to it before?! |
Emalie is showing me the light..... tidiness is not always as important as fun. She had a great time playing in my organizational mess! |
If Nikolas is sitting still (which doesn't happen all that often), Emalie loves to climb into his lap. Very sweet. |
No, Emalie is not yelling at Abby-- she's trying to learn how to say her name...."Aaaaa....Aaaaa..." |
Thankfully with 10 years between the kids, fighting over toys hasn't yet been a big issue (notice the disclaimer of 'yet' just in case.....). |
Being a big brother is hard work, yet he still has time for loving his first little girl. |
