6-24, Under the Bridge

I have a potential client who wants senior photos for her son.  This is a new task for me, because most of my clients want the nature look out in our local open spaces.  This particular senior is 'artsy' the mom described.  She said that a brick wall would be more suitable than a field (at which point I cringed because the brick wall is so cliche.) After some contemplation, the idea hit me:  the murals under our Parker Road bridge.  This area of Colorado has an elaborate trail system that connects the outlying areas all the way into and around Denver.  One day, I parked my car closer to town so I could rollerblade the trail into Parker.  Much to my surprise, these are the murals painted under one of our bridges along the trail:

So as any good mommy photographer does, I took my kids to this location to a) scout the light and b) update my kids pics.  The session was originally supposed to be with just Nik, but Em missed her karate class due to a cold that just wouldn't go away (a summer cold?! Thank you swimming lessons...).  She wasn't well enough to do karate, but she was well enough to smile for the camera.  Here are my favorite images from our mock session.  Whether or not this particular client books the session is no matter, I have a great new location in my arsenal and these images of my kids.
