It's hard to believe it's been over three and a half years since Nikolas told us he wanted to try karate. We were skeptical that he had the dedication and endurance to see this idea through. But as supportive parents do, we gave him the opportunity. It was through teary eyes that I took these photos (and videos which are much too long and large to post here) and watched Nikolas test for his Candidate Belt. Boy, did he show us how wrong we were! Next stop? Black belt!! We expect it to take about six more months of training for him to be eligible to test for that. We are SO VERY proud of him!
