6-6, Deputy Emalie

We have amazing friends who do it all... literally.  For instance, this week they graduated from the police academy and are now reserve sheriff deputies.  This, on top of their full-time jobs and everything else they juggle.  They put in a lot of long hours and miles to achieve this.  We are so proud of them and happy we could celebrate this accomplishment.  Emalie, true to her style, insisted on wearing her police costume to the graduation.  It not only got a few second glances but received some surprise recognition as well.  Hopefully the video posts ok, because it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for this girl who has her sights set on the stars.

Just in case the video doesn't post, the Under Sheriff (I think that's his title? He's the 2nd in command at the sheriff's office) got my permission to bring Emalie down in front of everyone prior to the commencement of the graduation.  He gave her a badge declaring her a lifetime honorary deputy. It was very cool and she was very happy!
