Life's been pretty crazy for us lately. We weren't sure how to spend Nikolas' 'fall break'. Our busy schedules didn't allow us to get away for the week, but we wanted to do something. So one day, we chose to go down to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Sven had been there a few times over the previous years when he was here on business. It seems like I should have been here before at some point during Thad's academy years, but I'm drawing a blank. On one hand, it wasn't quite what I had expected, but on the other hand it was so much more. It is truly a beautiful place and so aptly named.

Nikolas was enjoying the time outdoors.
