We live in a great neighborhood for walking. You can walk the streets for miles in any direction and admire the unique homes (really, no two are a like-- our neighborhood is known for its uniqueness), or you can head to the nearest county open spaces nestled in the neighborhood and pretend you're out walking in the moutains. We have one such open space just up the street from our house. If we had a million dollars to invest in a home, it's exactly the type of land that would be contained on our property. But since we don't have a million dollars to call such land ours, I love that we have easy access to enjoy it without the cost or maintenance of upkeep. Really, a win/win (except I'd still love that million dollars....). I'd never walked the open space before in the winter. Like the other areas around the neighborhood, there is a stark contrast for which side of the street you're on. We haven't received a significant snowfall for quite awhile now, but seeing as how this open space is on the north side, there was still snow deeper than my boots in many areas. The opposite side of the street? Bare. Amazing. We enjoyed mild temperatures last week, so Emalie and I went for a walk in the wild. The fresh air in our lungs and the crunch of snow under our feet was therapeutic. We'd love to show you our favorites places here, so any and all, come for a visit!
