2-24, Nikolas' 8th birthday

Nikolas had a quiet, but busy, birthday.  He had school, homework, swimming lessons, out to dinner, then presents and doughnuts at home.  All in all, a good birthday I think.

Darryl, Jackie and T:  Thank you for this adorable puppy for Nikolas (as well as the other gifts!).  FYI, it's name is Lily now.  =)  And Kyla, thank you, too, for your gift to Nikolas.  He always loves your guys' gifts!

Now on to Grandma and Granpda's package.
It's always a mystery to unwrap.  =)

I think he likes it!  =)

Dinner of choice?  IHOP.

Mom and Dad took a risky chance... a book?
Whew!  He likes it-- we pulled it off!  =)

Where's the cake?  I have only ever made Nikolas ONE cake his entire life (for his first birthday).  =(  He doesn't like cake or ice cream so we have to get creative.  One year he had King Cake in celebration of Mardi Gras (in Pensacola, of course), but the trend seems to be DONUTS.  That boy LOVES them!

He may be 8 now, but at the end of the day he's still our 'little' boy.  =)
