8-30, Pig Roast

All summer we've been looking forward to Jeff's annual pig roast. (Jeff is Mary Jo's brother who lives about half an hour away from us in rural MD.) The big day was yesterday. I think he said the pig was 175 pounds! He'd been up since 6' getting everything ready. It was quite a sight. There had to have been over a 100 people there and there was still half the pig left at the end of the night! (We were among the lucky ones to go home with leftovers....) It was quite nummy and a good day.

Sven was quite intrigued with the pig on the grill....me....not so much!

Nikolas took this picture......!

The boys were hard at work pulling pork....for hours!

Molly was one HAPPY DOG after all was said and done!

The neighbors had a beautiful foal. We got to pet her quite a bit until Molly chased her away! Pictured below from left to right is Sven's dad from Pittsburgh, Mary Jo's daughter Breen and Sven.

Beautiful, huh?!
