6-18, White House trip

It was such a beautiful day. The heat wave had eased up and it was only in the upper 70s. With the luxury of Sven's current flex schedule, we headed into DC for a little sightseeing. Since we didn't get out of the house until the afternoon, it was only a short outting.

We saw the White House and Nikolas was in awe of the fact that the President lives there. "Does he REALLY live there?!" The comical part of the trip was when we missed a turn on the return trip and it took us twice as long to get home as it had to get there. (OK, all you GPS-pushers, go ahead and have your laugh!!) =).

I think with all that there is to see in this area and having 6 year-old feet among us, we may have to have many of these short excursions to see a fraction of it all.
